Recruitment Process

We believe our Early Careers recruitment process is thorough and fair, ensuring we find the best candidate for our programs.

The recruitment process is designed to give you the opportunity to showcase your skills, experience, and passion for the agricultural industry. Here's what you can expect, with a few handy tips to help you prepare, should you move forward to the next stage.

Step 1: Complete the online application

Start your journey by submitting an online application. This is your chance to introduce yourself, highlight your skills, and share your relevant experience. Tell us why you are interested in joining Elders and how you envision making a difference in the agricultural sector.

Handy tip: have your up-to-date resume ready, as you’ll need to upload it.

Step 2: Online personality assessment

If your application stands out, we'll invite you to complete an online personality assessment. This assessment helps us understand your behavioural traits and how you might fit within our team and company culture.

Handy tip: when completing your online assessment, make sure you’re free from distraction and have good internet connection. Be yourself and let your unique qualities shine through.

Step 3: Phone interview

Successful candidates will proceed to the next stage, which involves a phone interview. This interview allows us to delve deeper into your background, skills, and motivations. It's an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your suitability for the program.

Handy tip: If you’re not available when we call, send us a text or email to schedule in a time that works for you.

Step 4: Face to face meeting

In the final stage of the recruitment process, you will be invited to a face-to-face meeting. During this stage, you'll have the chance to meet our team in person and gain insights into Elders and the specific program you have applied for. It's also an opportunity for you to showcase your skills and demonstrate why you would be a valuable addition to our organisation. The face-to-face meeting may include an interview and job-related activities.

If you’re successful, we’ll call you a few days after the face-to-face meeting with the news.

Good luck! We’ll keep in touch throughout the selection process to let you know how your application is tracking.

Frequently asked questions

I have a disability - can you adjust the process for me?

We’re committed to giving our applicants the chance to pursue roles on a level playing field, by removing barriers that people with a disability may face.

If you think there are any reasonable adjustments we can make to the recruitment process (or the role), so you can participate fairly, please email us. We want you to feel comfortable to be yourself.

How soon can I expect to hear from Elders after applying?

After submitting your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email with next-step details relevant to the specific program you applied for.

In most cases, we will be in touch within one week of applications closing and the final outcome will be communicated within four weeks of applications closing.

Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes, although we recommend that you don’t apply for more than two roles.

This will show us that you’ve done your research to understand Elders, the roles and opportunities with us, as well as helps highlight your areas of interest and where you could see a future with us.
